Baby Panda

Mom and I made this outfit for M for her first Halloween.

M - Halloween 2006
(I think it was mostly Mom, but I know I at least sewed on the ears.)

Baby G - February 2011
Baby G used it for the bus stop on cold mornings.

Learning To Sew

My L wanted to learn how to sew as part of the Primary's Faith in God Program.  So she chose a pillowcase (straight lines, sharp corners - good choice).  She chose her fabric, measured the pillow, did the math, and cut the fabric herself.

I did not sew a single stitch on the pillowcase.  She did everything by herself.  It turned out really well.

Where's the picture of the finished project, you ask? We kind of forgot that part.  Oops. You'll have to take my word on it.  She did a great job.

Guess what I found!

On Valentine's Day, Baby G found his tongue.

Baby's Easter Outfit

I bought this for G to wear for Easter.  He has since chunked out to the point that there is no way it will fit.

"Pardon me?"

Here's his "Blue Steel".

I loved it so much that I went ahead and bought the next size up for him to wear on Easter.

What is that yuck?

Baby G had his first experience with rice cereal at 4 months.

He doesn't look too taken with it.

In fact, he looks fairly put out by the whole experience.  We tried a few more times with cereal and formula before realizing it was not going to work.  We mix it with fruit juice now and he eats it with gusto.

Colonial Day

For L's Colonial Day at school, she dressed as Pocahontas.

Baby, M, and I came to their feast and watched the 4th grade perform the Virginia Reel.  One of the other parents volunteered to hold Baby, and I even got to join in!  L was really proud and excited to show off her baby brother to her classmates.

She is so beautiful and looks so grown up already.

It Snowed!

We didn't have much snow this year, but the kids still had fun playing in it.

Several attempts at snow angels were made, complete with encouragement and advice from the onlookers.

It wasn't good for building forts, though L tried her best.

G and I stayed warm and dry inside while I snapped shots out the front door.

Was that a rare red yeti sighting?
