Trip Downtown

November 23, 2009 - With my family here, we decided to add a few trips downtown to our itinerary. My nieces wanted to see the Capitol. This was their first trip here and were excited to see the sights. M was the only person I brought from my crew, because the kids had school right up until the day before Thanksgiving.

Amaya's "Flat Stacey" went with us too so it was good that I am flaky and never mailed her back to Amaya - Right?!

We always ride the carousel downtown. This one is really fast and M loves to get the sticker that they give out as a "souvenir".

Dad was afraid the Washington Monument looked a bit wobbly, so like everything else in my house, he fixed it. Thanks Dad!

The other thing the girls wanted to see was the Natural History Museum so we headed over there. M got a bit too close and Dad and Heather had to rescue her. I was just glad we didn't trigger any of the museum's alarms like we have in the past. I wish I was kidding.
