"Something You Made"

So I'm cheating again.  This is obviously more than one photo.

This was W's room in Washington State.

I thought about trying to take a picture of something I made recently,

but my house is boxed and wrapped, waiting for the crates to come and be packed up on Monday and Tuesday to be shipped to Italy.

To paint the grass, I laid on the floor and did each individual stalk in 6 different colors.

I was hugely pregnant and it was really uncomfortable.  H told me I wasn't allowed to paint the children's rooms, so I waited until he was deployed for a few weeks.  I didn't technically use house paint (he was worried about the fumes) so it didn't count as "disobeying."  This gave me a deadline because I wanted it finished before he came home.   I made the curtains out of sheets that matched his pillow.  Even the tiebacks on the curtains had bugs and a frog.

I took my inspiration from his bedding. I wanted to make a magical world for him to play in.

It was totally worth it and I will probably never do it again.
