Happy Birthday, Dad!

H turned 40 last Saturday. Due to his schedule a party wasn't possible so we waited until today for the cake and presents. On his birthday the kids gave him the 2nd season of the original Star Trek series. He loves it. (He's watching it right now while he's waiting for me to finish playing around on the computer!) W picked it out completely on his own. We were in Sam's Club and L came running up to me with something wrapped in her sweater so H wouldn't see it. I was so proud of them for being so independent and smart about the whole thing.

Today the kids and I made his cake for him. L designed it, but everybody helped decorate it. It turned out really yummy!

Then he got his presents. We gave him our handmade papers.

And 2 new Wii games to play with the kids - Star Wars Clone Wars Light Saber Duels and a new Wii Sports Game. W won the first Light Saber game, but then H figured out what he was doing and whupped L. W is really good at jumping around so much that it's hard to get in a hit. He has no idea what he's doing but it's great to watch!
