On April 13th we went to Virginia Beach. I know it was a month ago, but we had so much fun and I ran across the pictures we took so I thought I'd post them. H had to go to a meeting so we all drove down together and made a mini vacation out of it. The kids and I tried to look up an old friend who lived there, but we couldn't contact her. Then we wanted to go to a lighthouse and wasted about an hour getting there (after getting lost) where we found out that M was too short to climb up.
So we went to the boardwalk and got ice cream cones for the kids.
It was windy and kind of chilly so there weren't many people. The kids were able to run around and be loud, which they needed after all the hours spent in the car that week.
W REALLY wanted to get down in the sand, but I REALLY didn't want sand all over the car, so I said no. But, it was just relaxing to let them run around and we really enjoyed ourselves.
L wanted to go into the Nightmare Mansion, but it was closed for the season, thankfully. She still got into the sprit, though.
