The National Aquarium

July 21, 2009 - We decided to take a quick family trip up to Baltimore. We decided to go on Monday, made the reservations, did some laundry, packed our bags, and jumped in the car- anything to get out of unpacking! Tuesday we went to the National Aquarium.

We did the dolphin show, and the 4-D theatre inside the aquarium. The kids loved the dolphin show.

After the dolphin show, we needed an ice cream break.

Then it was on to the 4-D theatre. L hated it. We wore 3-D glasses, then there were effects that coincided with the movie. There were bubbles, snow, water sprayers, fans, and things under the chair that get your legs. There were blasts of air on the back of the seat and something that poked your back when the eel would strike out. W and M thought it was great. Actually M wasn't too sure until she saw how much fun W was having. Then she laughed and screamed along with the rest of us. H had to take L out of the theatre and wait for us outside. She REALLY hated it. (She'll still cringe if you mention it!)

W bought a sticky frog as his memento. As soon as we got back to the hotel, he learned that if you throw it up, it would stick to the ceiling. I let him do it until I noticed sticky marks all over their ceiling. Oops. It did look funny, though!
