I decided I wanted to give our toy box a facelift. M wanted to help, but I really didn't want paint all over her clothes, so I decided the easiest thing to do was have her paint "unrestricted by clothing."
Isn't she doing a great job?
Then the kids got to add their own personal touch to their squares.
They wrote their names as well, but per my promise to my dear, sweet husband, "the names have been removed to protect the innocent."
I added the letters on top and "ta da"!
Post script: Less than 2 weeks after putting it in the basement to hold the kids' blankets, some one has kicked out the side with L's hands and feet. Thanks kids. I'm glad you appreciate it. I'm planning on hitting the hardware store for some repairs. If we hadn't just painted it, I would toss it, but now I love it too much.
